You must devote yourself fully to your aim to succeed.
Dr. Swati Prabhat runs her dental clinic in Ranchi under the name of Dr. Swati's Clinic Dental & Health Care.
Dr. Swati earned the 'Nari Shakti Jharkhand Award' in 2016 and was the youngest doctor among 21 recipients. She also received the 'Best Dental Clinic Award' in 2020. Her altruistic acts were also recognised in local media outlets like ABP News, VIP News, News 11, and various newspapers during the COVID time as a Corona Warrior.
She was born in Allahabad and raised in Varanasi. She finished her studies in Varanasi before coming to Ranchi to study for medical admission examinations at the Aakash Institute. Eventually, she earned her BDS from Teerthanker Mahaveer Dental College and Research Centre in Moradabad.
Dr. Swati was a bright student growing up, and she was constantly encouraged to become a doctor, which remained with her. She did not want to become a dentist, but rather a plastic surgeon. She became a dentist after not being accepted to pursue plastic surgery, and her interest in the profession expanded over time. After finishing her education, she acquired a contract-based government position in the ECHS, which she left after a while to pursue a certificate degree in Aesthetics at Apollo Hospital in Delhi.
Speaking about her hardships, Dr. Swati says that she has never encountered any difficulty in life. However, she admits that staying dormant during her career transition time irritated her. She claims that after six months of sitting inactive, her in-laws helped her build her own clinic, which got her started. She was initially reluctant to establish a clinic owing to her lack of knowledge in the industry, but with the backing of her husband and in-laws, everything came into place.
She looks up to her grandfather as a role model, since he has reached milestones in his life and inspires her to do the same. Her grandpa was a social activist who prioritised people before himself, therefore she was inspired by him to work for others.
Dr. Swati explains that, as a professional woman, it might be tough to find spare time for oneself. However, she says she devotes her little free time to her small child and her family. She also enjoys doing yoga, dancing, music, and cycling. She also enjoys travelling a lot.
Advising aspiring dentists, Dr. Swati emphasizes the need for hands-on expertise in the industry and encourages seeking mentors for practical experience. She recommends pursuing a career that truly interests them to enjoy their work and achieve their goals. Additionally, she advises focusing on academics and staying away from social media distractions.
Her success slogan is "He who sleeps loses," and she has adhered to this notion from infancy. She feels that you should sleep and wake up early to ensure that your task is completed appropriately.
During the COVID pandemic, Dr. Swati actively assisted the administration and medical fraternity in efficiently managing patients by keeping her clinic open every day. She also followed COVID practices such as the PPE kit, N-95 mask, and sanitization, and encouraged others to do the same. Her spouse also helped her with these tasks.
