Suresh Suthar, a song and bhajan writer, decided to follow his creative pursuits after winding up his business of handicrafts. He has added more than 700 songs to his portfolio to date.

Suresh Suthar was born and brought up in Udaipur.

Suresh has always been interested in singing, as he used to participate in school programs. Furthermore, he also used to visit temples, take inspiration from bhajans, and start singing at Garba functions. Moreover, he has completed his education until the 10th grade. He is a craftsman turned lyricist. He composes songs and writes poems. So far, he has had more than 700 songs added to his portfolio.

Suresh initially started a business in handicrafts and was doing well in it. But due to some physiological constraints, he had to wind up his business. So after shutting down his business, he decided to utilize his free time by doing something creative. That’s when he stumbled upon writing songs and poems. Most of his songs are highly appreciated by his audience.

Suresh says that whatever we pick up, we should complete it and not leave it midway. He says that when he started writing songs, initially he would write only a stanza or two a day. But slowly, he started writing complete songs and poems. To anyone who wants to become a songwriter, Suresh advises that they should have clarity of thought and thorough knowledge of the language that they write in.

Suresh believes that, especially in today’s time, education is a must. Education and experience should go hand in hand. Education helps in whatever one does in life.

If he could go back in time and undo something, Suresh would want to do the same business of handicrafts that he started initially because he thinks he could do better in it.

Talking about his childhood memories, Suresh says that he liked swimming in the ponds in his village. He reminisces about those good old days. He says that up until the 10th grade, he didn’t have footwear or other basic resources at his disposal, but he never complained of the adversities and lived happily.

During his free time, Suresh likes to spend some time with his family. He also likes to write and record songs.
