Suresh Chandra Saini is the Owner of Ganga Laffa and Falafel Restaurant. He belongs to Pushkar and has been running his restaurant for 25 years where he sells Israeli food.
Speaking about his journey, Suresh says that he started his journey as a tea stall owner where he used to sell tea for only Rs. 2. He says that some Israeli people came to his tea stall and gave him tips about Israeli food, and that is when he started his restaurant and is working to expand his menu through his own innovations.
Recalling his childhood, Suresh says that he was born and brought up in Pushkar and did his education till 9th from there. Thereafter, he left his studies and started working as a local guide in Mandawa. After some time, winding up his work from Mandawa, he came back to Pushkar and opened an Israeli food restaurant with an Indian touch at his family’s traditional place.
Sharing his COVID experiences, Suresh says that he faced a lot of challenges during the pandemic as he had to keep his restaurant closed for almost thirteen months.
Talking about his role models, Suresh says that he met a person from Israel while selling tea at his stall who taught him everything about Israeli food. Suresh considers him his role model.
Talking about the challenges, Suresh says that he did not have any knowledge of Israeli food. But his Israeli friend taught him everything about the same and he also shared his knowledge of Indian food with him in return.
If given a time machine, Suresh would prefer leading the same life that he is leading now. He says that the struggles during his entire journey have made him learn a lot and have made him a stronger individual.
To the youngsters, Suresh urges them to complete their education with dedication. He says that even if you fail, never take any wrong step, rather work hard for the goal consistently until you achieve it.
