First, apply what you preach to yourself before preaching to others.
Surendra Pant is a yoga instructor at Sunshine Yoga in Amritsar. He completed his master's degree in 2015.
After completing his education, Surendra started teaching at the yoga training center. He worked for a few years as a therapist and learned various therapy practices. After receiving huge appreciation from his clients, he was motivated enough to start his center.
During the lockdown, he decided to start his own center and moved to Amritsar, where he has been able to acquire a long list of clients. He started providing at-home yoga training services. It's been three years running this center and he has more than 60 regular clients who are enjoying his services.
Remembering his childhood, Surendra says he had a fun-filled and simple childhood. His father was an army man. His family's financial condition was not that good to provide him with the luxuries of life.
Despite all the financial problems, his parents did not let him and his siblings feel any kind of lack of anything. He always got full guidance and support from his parents. Describing his journey, Surendra says that he had chosen Sanskrit as a subject as a major in college. Like his father, he also wanted to join the army. He tried several times but could not get selected.
He got a formal education of Yoga while moving forward and increased the scope of his career. He got a lot of guidance from his teachers to explore this field and make it his profession. On the suggestion of his father, he strengthened his profile by obtaining new education degrees which were added to his profile. Along with this, he also learned Marma Therapy and Pranic Healing.
Describing his achievements, he says that he participated in many yoga competitions in Amritsar and won them too. Many patients suffering from chronic diseases have been cured by his therapy, which Surendra considers as an achievement for himself.
When asked about his role models, Surendra says his father and teachers are his role models.
His life mantra is to first apply to yourself anything that you preach before preaching to others.
Surendra advises new yoga instructors to give their students an atmosphere of love and encouragement. He tells them to bring their students to class consistently and always motivates them to learn something new.
