Coming from a very poor family, Sunny believed in himself and followed his passion that led him to become a famous and successful Tattoo Artist in Mumbai. He believes in changing lives through art and creativity.

Sunny Bhanushali is the Founder of Alien’s Tattoo Art School in Mumbai. He specializes in Hyperrealism tattoos. He was associated with this industry fourteen years ago. Soon he turned from an artist to an entrepreneur over the years. He says that eleven of his studio’s franchises are already running and in the next five years, he is targeting hundred such franchise studios across the globe.

Sunny belongs to Mumbai. He did his schooling from the S.I.A School. Due to financial constraints, his family could not support his college education. Then, taking the responsibility of his house, he took the job of a sweeper at cyber cafes. Due to his interest in computers and technology, he learned the work of a cyber cafe while working as a sweeper. Hence, he got promoted there as a Store Executive. Alongside, he did HSC and BCA from distance learning and supported his education himself. Later, he got a job in a BPO and progressed further.

One fine day, Sunny went to a tattoo studio with his friend to get him tattooed. The process of tattooing seemed fascinating to him and so he himself entered into this field. Soon he bought tattooing equipment and made his first tattoo on his own leg. He got a hang of it after tattooing his friends. He quit his BPO job as soon as he started making good money out of his profession. He started tattooing full time from home itself. Gradually he set up his studio, then his company and then the Tattoo Art School. At present, Alien’s Tattoo has become a very big brand.

Recalling the best memories of his childhood, Sunny says that all the moments that he spent with his mother are unforgettable. Besides, playing marbles and cricket with friends and running around in streets are his beautiful childhood memories, which he cherishes even today. He was also fond of drawing and painting since childhood.

Talking about his role models, Sunny says he considers his mother as his role model because he learned a lot from her life’s journey and got all the values imbibed in him by his mother, due to which he is able to reach where he is today. He draws inspiration from nature for being connected with it.

Sharing about his struggles, Sunny says that he comes from such a poor background that he has even seen a time when he spent nights on roads. From 2007 till 2011, he struggled to make his presence as a tattoo artist in the market. Due to his flair in drawing, he used to custom design his tattoos to stand out from the crowd. Gradually, he started using social media platforms for his business promotion. After facing many challenges, he opened his first commercial studio in 2015. From there he just kept moving forward and never looked back.

Talking about his achievements, Sunny says that bringing a convention in the field of tattooing and getting awarded for that is no less than an achievement for him. Gradually, he was invited to judging panels in contests which is an achievement for him because earlier he used to take the awards and now he has started giving them. Looking at his growth, many tattoo equipment companies supported him in several ways, which is again an achievement for him. On the personal front, reaching this point after coming from a poor family is a huge achievement for him.

In his spare time, Sunny enjoys reading, planning and strategizing his business meetings. Also, he likes to work out everyday.

Sunny tells the aspiring artists that the tattooing field has huge scope along with a lot of money. Apart from this, tattoo art gives a life changing experience to the clients and brings a smile on their face, which is a great experience in this profession. He says that if you are interested in it, then you can learn it in less time, develop your skills and earn good money out of it.
