Sunil R Purbiya is a Drummer and he has been playing drums for RAM trio for the last four years. It’s been seven years of him working in the music industry.
Sunil belongs to Dombivali, Mumbai. He says that at first he didn’t have any interest in music, but gradually his interest developed when he used to listen to Banjo music everyday around him and so he decided to get into it professionally. He started taking classes from Suraj Badreja and even went to Trinity level. From there he proceeded in his journey and joined the RAM trio band. Then he performed in live shows in different cities and people appreciated his work that inspired him to keep going. They are into Sufi Bollywood music.
In the time of Covid, Sunil faced a lot of trouble as his home loan was going on and all his work was closed. Due to this, he used to practice his music at night and do housekeeping work throughout the day. Soon he started to get some small shows with lesser pay but he used to do it. He says that Covid taught the value of money and saving it.
Sunil considers his guru, Jacky Solanki, as his role model because he struggled a lot in his life to achieve success. Apart from this, Vinod Solanki, who is the father of his team leader Rahul, is also his role model. He brought Sunil in this line and encouraged him to move forward in it.
