Sunil Kumar has deliberately learned the art of painting and has been imparting his experience and knowledge to the younger generation.

Sunil Kumar is a Painter and an Art Teacher. Along with that, he also runs an NGO.

Sunil hails from Ranchi, Jharkhand. He completed his education from Ranchi itself.

Growing up, Sunil says he had  always been engrossed in art. He used to observe the paintings on walls, in books and wherever he could. This interest in art motivated him to get professionally trained by an Art Teacher. He also learned the art from Jatin Das, a renowned artist. Currently he works as an artist and also teaches painting at a school.

Talking about struggles, Sunil says that it was very difficult for him to find a guru who could mentor him. He says that some of his hastily taken decisions proved to be wrong which gave him an opportunity to reflect upon his choices. He also says that the rapid induction of technology into the art field like usage of digitally created flex is taking up jobs of artists.

Sunil advises the younger generation to be patient and work with diligence to tread down the right path.

During the COVID period, Sunil worked ardently with his NGO and made people aware about the disease through his paintings. His efforts were recognized and he was rewarded by the government for his efforts.

Sunil likes devoting his free time to meditation and listening to music.
