Sumit Punjabi is an English teacher at a Government School in Sirohi.
Sumit was born and brought up in a small village in Sirohi. He completed his MA and B.Ed. in English and is currently teaching students at the Government School.
Talking about his journey, Sumit says that his professional journey was very long and full of struggles. He worked very hard to get the job, as in rural areas, the level of education is very low. So he put in hard work to become an English teacher.
When asked about his tough times, Sumit says that at the time of the board examination of his students, he faced many challenges to prepare them well in the English language. He says, in rural areas, most of the students came from tribal backgrounds, and it becomes difficult for the teachers to make them familiar with English.
Sumit’s role model is APJ Abdul Kalam, as he worked hard in his journey and so he inspires Sumit a lot. He also admires his parents and his elder sister, as they have always supported and motivated him.
Sumit’s success mantra is simple living and high thinking.
Sumit advises that it is important to complete your work on time. He says that whatever you want to achieve, it is better to achieve it on time. If you work hard in early life, then the rest of your life will be smooth.
Accepting his mistakes, Sumit says that his biggest mistake was a lack of consistency. He says that if he could work consistently, he might have got success earlier.
Sharing his COVID experience, Sumit says that it was a very hard time for everyone. He had to do his duty of door-to-door service and monitor the quarantined people at the time of the pandemic. He faced many challenges and worked hard to overcome them.
Comparing education and experience, Sumit says that both are equally important in life.
If given a time machine to travel back in time, Sumit would like to achieve success early in his life.
