Believing in herself, Suchitra carved her own path and made every effort to achieve her goal, and emerged as a successful entrepreneur, teacher, and life coach. She believes that she has made a mark in her life by changing the lives of people in a better way.

Suchitra Chatterjee is the Founder of International Women Networking Organization Pvt Ltd in Pune. It is a support network for Indian entrepreneurial women to network and grow. Besides, she is also a Life Coach and has been practicing it professionally for the past twelve years.

Suchitra shares that she did her M.Sc. in Physics-Electronics and was a Gold Medalist in that. Along with this, she was also a 1982 Asiad Player. Later, she did her teaching course at the University of Cambridge. She says that from a very young age, she had an inclination toward the teaching profession and so she became a teacher by clearing her B.Ed exam. She served as a Highschool Physics and Maths Teacher for seventeen years in various schools.

Recounting her experience of ten years in South Korea, Suchitra says that due to her husband’s job at Tata Daewoo, she also got a chance to live in a foreign land. There she came to know about the concept of Life Coaches. After knowing everything about this profession, she saw such a skill in herself and took the training to become a life coach.

Recalling her childhood, Suchitra says that she was born in a Defense family, and being born in such a family, she got confidence, discipline, struggle, and consistency as her birthright and because of this, she could do a lot in life. She was good at studies and had been a topper in her class throughout.

Describing her struggles, Suchitra says that a major part of her life was spent in the struggle to prove herself and this was the most challenging time for her. She adds that she was already aware of her abilities but neither she was getting any opportunity to highlight her talents nor any platform through which she could prove her worth. In this struggle, she experienced a lot and moved forward learning from them.

Regarding her achievements, Suchitra says that every certificate, prize, award, etc is a reward for her good work but her growth over these years is no less than an achievement for her. She claims that she understands life from a different perspective and that she considers it her biggest achievement.

In her free time, Suchitra enjoys doing fun activities, walking, journaling, and meditating.

Advising everyone, Suchitra says that being grateful is the easiest thing you can do to thank the universe and the divine power. And if you do this, everything starts happening in your favor and you get to see the positive atmosphere around you, she adds.

Suchitra suggests to young entrepreneurs that entrepreneurship is a difficult journey that requires persistence, courage, and belief in yourself to walk on it. Further, she says that if you are passionate about becoming an entrepreneur, can do anything for your business, and can spend sleepless nights, only then think about becoming one.

Advising aspiring teachers, Suchitra says that you can become a good teacher in two ways; either by teaching the subject in a correct way or by putting your mind in the brains of students to make them better human beings. And if you have both, you can become a teacher who will be admired for a lifetime, she claims.
