Coming from a non-technological background, Subhankar initially worked in different domains in the corporate sector until he realized that the IT sector would be the best for him. He learned the required skills and then joined the IT sector and since then he has been progressing in the sector.

Subhankar hails from Kolkata. He completed his school and college education there itself. After completing his MBA, he started his career with Wipro Technologies as a Senior Associate. Then he worked with Amazon as a Senior Executive Assistant in the Customer Service Department.

Subhnakar shares that while working with Amazon he realized that making a career in the IT sector would be the best for him. Therefore, he contacted some of his friends who were working in the IT sector as to how he could transition into IT given his non-technological background. His friends told him that he could make a career in the IT sector provided he learned the required skills. After learning the required skills, he joined Infosys Pune as an IT helpdesk executive, and currently, he is serving as a Senior Technical Specialist there.

Talking about his childhood, Subhankar says that he was an introverted kid and would not participate much in other activities apart from studies. However, he always loved watching Football matches and learning about Music.

Talking about his struggles, he says that he lost his father when he was in tenth grade. Besides, his relationship with his partner didn’t work out. Then he lost his mother during the Covid pandemic. However, he says that no matter what one should always put a smile on their face and face every challenge as it comes.

Talking about Covid, he says that working in the IT sector, he did not have to face struggles on the financial front as the IT sector was still working during the pandemic. However, to see other people suffer during the pandemic was agonizing for him.

Subhankar gets inspired by a lot of people. However, he doesn’t consider any one person as his role model.

In his spare time, Subhankar likes to cook and savor the dishes that he prepares. Besides, he likes to listen to music.

To the youth, his message is to focus on their education and use social media judiciously. Besides, he says that success doesn’t come easy, therefore keep working hard till you get it.
