Sristhi Goswami is a singer and a senior sales manager in Extramarks. She has been trying to create a balance between her career and her passion, and so far has been brilliant doing it.

Sristhi Goswami hails from Udaipur. She is married and lives with her family in the city of lakes. She is a professional singer and also a senior manager in Extramarks, which has its headquarters in Mumbai. She never performed until she was once asked by her music teacher to perform in the front of the class. Neither her teacher knew nor Sristhi, that she could sing so well. She was praised by everyone and even won a competition to win a good sum of money. From there, she never looked back.

A turnaround came in her life when she was asked to choose between singing as a career or join the corporate sector. She was completely baffled as singing was what she wanted to do by heart but, getting into the corporate field was what her parents wanted. Meanwhile, she started her masters in Pune and had to stop singing as she could not sail on two boats at one time. She completed her post-graduation as a topper of her batch and started working in sales and marketing. While working with different companies, her singing was lost to her corporate responsibilities. Inside, she always knew it’s not dead. In 2019, after her marriage, she started singing and performing again after a huge gap of seven years. Then came 2020, the pandemic was on the rise and Sristhi had to stop singing as the events market took a huge hit. But she took it as an opportunity and joined Extramarkes as the senior sales manager, where she is currently working. She thinks women are capable of multitasking and she wants to prove it.

Sristhi thinks her decision to focus on her studies was a good one perhaps, as it helped her get settled well in life. She says she always knew, no matter what she chooses, music will always remain inside her, and no one can take it away from her. She went on to complete her studies all by herself and she was financially so capable that she paid her education loans in a very small time. She got the best of both worlds without missing out on anything.

Sristhi’s role models in life are her parents. Her mother is a multi-tasker and she has inculcated this quality in Shristhi. She thinks the way her mother handles their family while doing other things has always inspired her.

For youngsters who want to come to the music industry, Sristhi says music is something that comes from the soul. In this field, learning from your mistakes is a must. She feels if you try to take shortcuts in this field, it will lead you nowhere. Working hard is important to improvise in this field. She thinks a singer should be disciplined and respect others. Talking about her career in sales, she feels it is a bridge between the company and the customer, and if it is done right, your product can get you huge amounts of profits.

अनुभव आपको अपनी उम्र से बड़ा बनाता है

Sristhi believes both education and experience are important in life. She says education would help you build a strong base and experience will help you live your life practically. If she can put them on a weighing scale, she thinks experience would hold more weightage for her.

सपने देखने की कोई सीमा नहीं है

Sristhi feels she is the kind of person who has many dreams in life. If she had a chance to go back and complete those dreams, she would like to go back to her childhood where she was exploring her artistic side and wants to relive all those moments again.

Talking about her school days, Sristhi would like to give a big credit for her enjoyable childhood to her school, St. Anthony’s in Udaipur. She recalls how she was bad in mathematics and her father would write questions for her to solve, and how she would cheat as soon as she saw her father getting distracted. She also remembers how her sister used to stay back at home, sacrificing her free time, taking care of her grandparents when she used to go out for music competitions.

Sristhi is a workaholic now but still, if she gets some time, she likes to be with her family. She loves to watch movies and go shopping.
