Vice Principal of a school, Sonia, who aspired to become an IAS officer, is now assisting others in learning in order to accomplish their objectives.

Sonia Aks is a Vice Principal at a Haryana Government School. She is also a poet.

Hailing from Panipat, Sonia recalls her childhood and says she had a beautiful childhood. Her mother was also a teacher, and she used to participate in different extracurricular activities during her school days. She completed her graduation in economics and mathematics and started preparation for IAS. However, she could not pass the final UPSC exam.

Sharing her teaching journey, Sonia says she later did a BEd and started a government job as a teacher. After her marriage, she did her masters in economics, mathematics, and english.

Regretting her mistakes, Sonia says that her only mistake was getting married early and due to that she could not get a chance to take more attempts for the IAS. She believes that she could have become an IAS if she had married later.

When asked about her role models, Sonia says her father has always been a role model to her as he has supported her and motivated her to become a successful person.

To attain mental calm, Sonia concentrates on her objective and disregards others’ opinions about her.

In her free time, Sonia likes to listen to music and dance.
