Overcoming every challenge of his life, Sohail carved a path for himself and emerged as a motivational speaker. He believes in spreading a wave of enthusiasm among the people and encourages everyone to consider our strength in diversity and suggests we maintain it.

Sohail Ahmed is the founder of Mentor My Way Inc., a social entrepreneurial firm. He is also a motivational speaker and India’s leading Self-Esteem and Mindset Coach.

Sohail belongs to Delhi. Till his 9th grade, he studied at St. Joseph’s Academy in Delhi and completed his remaining schooling from the Air Force School, Gujarat. He shifted to Gujarat because of his father’s business. When he was in class 12th, his father died of kidney failure due to diabetes. Then he did his Computer Engineering from NIIT, Jamnagar. Scoring well in his first semester, he got an opportunity to teach in his college itself. That’s how he started his career as a Computer Instructor at NIIT. Later, he served Kendriya Vidyalay as a Computer Instructor for two years.

After completing his engineering, Sohail plunged into the BPO industry and joined an international call center. Later, he had to shift to Delhi due to his sister’s ill health. Staying there, he worked at Airtel and a call center in Gurugram. Contemplating his journey, he thought that he could not work in a call center for the rest of his life. Consequently, he ventured into starting his own Call Center Training Institute in Jamnagar, Gujarat. However, due to some unfavorable circumstances, he had to wind up his company in Gujarat. Then he collaborated with the trainers and started his company afresh with a new business model on virtual space in Delhi.

After a successful journey of four years, Sohail positioned himself as a Motivational Speaker besides just being a Trainer. He kicked off his motivational speaking journey with his ‘Mentor My Way’ blog on the WordPress server in 2014. In no time, ‘Mentor My Way Inc’ became a big brand and it started getting several projects. Now, he is associated with a couple of speaking organizations across the globe such as SpeakerHub, SpeakIn Organization, etc.

Recalling his childhood, Sohail says, unlike today’s kids, he had a fun-filled childhood and played many outdoor games. Feeling dismayed at today’s generation, he thinks that these kids are wasting their childhood by imprisoning themselves in the realm of mobiles and have restricted their learnings by being confined behind a boundary wall. He feels bad to say that in today’s era, familiarity has disappeared and all have become strangers.

Talking about his role models, Sohail says he considers his father as his role model because of his public relations skills and working style. He says he has missed his father in several important decisions in his life.

Describing his challenges, Sohail says, due to a lack of awareness among people about call centers, no one was willing to take up a call center job. As a result, it was becoming difficult to meet the expenses of the company. As a result, the company had to be closed. Apart from this, he also faced difficulty in taking a job for being an entrepreneur already.

Regarding his achievements, Sohail says in a single year, the visibility of his blogs covered hundred-and-two countries and it was a big deal for him.

Expressing his views about the COVID pandemic, Sohail says it has been a sorrowful period for everyone. The second wave was especially very painful. He too has lost a few of his close people. He believes that this pandemic has taught us to help each other and maintain an atmosphere of brotherhood and peace.

About leadership, Sohail thinks he is a born leader, but he realized it while completing his schooling. He adds that some of the leadership qualities he developed with time, knowledge and experiences and today he considers himself a good leader.

Sohail believes that both education and experience go hand in hand. He adds that education teaches us the basic concepts of life and further, experience teaches us the practical aspect of life. In addition, he says that education is more than just schooling and getting degrees. It is a process of continuous learning from your experiences throughout life and moving forward toward a better future.

If Sohail had a Time Machine, he would like to go back in time and spend as much time as possible with his father.

About his free time, Sohail says he spends his spare time recording videos. He likes to spend the rest of his time with his five-year-old daughter.

Sohail appeals to every youth to develop an extra-mile mindset and try to establish yourself as a brand so that people want to associate with you and you do not have to run after anyone.

If anyone wants to become a motivational speaker, Sohail advises them to, first of all, decide to enter this field with a firm intention. Second, develop speaking skills by removing the hesitation of public speaking. Finally, establish yourself as a brand on every social media platform. He also suggests making short videos with good content and telling your own story to make your place in this industry.
