Driven by passion, Sneha left her career as a lawyer and embraced dance and yoga as a full-time profession, establishing her own academy. She has traveled nationally and internationally to perform and teach dance and has also been a cultural ambassador for India.

Sneha Bhagwat is a Bharatanatyam Dancer and a Yoga Trainer. Additionally, she also holds a law degree and has practiced law for the past five to six years. She is the founder of Sthitā Bharatanatyam & Yoga Studio.

Recently, Sneha launched her own studio, gaining nearly 50 students and around 20 international students online—a significant achievement. Proudly choosing to be a full-time dance teacher, she finds joy in sharing her knowledge with students. She holds a master's degree in Bharatanatyam from SASTRA University. She has traveled nationally and internationally, including to the US, Australia, and Colombo, to perform and teach dance. She has also been a cultural ambassador for India and takes pride in representing the country's culture internationally.

As a child, Sneha had a deep fondness for dancing. Seeing her learn dance steps from television shows, her mother enrolled her in a Bharatanatyam class. Her journey with dance began at a very young age. On the other hand, her father, a lawyer, inspired her to pursue law, as she witnessed his joy when clients thanked him for winning cases. With clear career goals, she became a lawyer, leveraging her strong communication skills in the profession.

Even while practicing law, she never gave up on dance, pursuing it alongside her legal career. For her, dance serves as a means of self-expression and brings a sense of satisfaction.

In 2017, after spending seven years practicing law full-time, she felt a lack of time for her passion for dance. After taking a year to slow down her legal career, she learned to teach dance and explored dance, music, and yoga. In 2019, she embraced dance and yoga as a full-time profession, establishing her academy, Sthitā-Bharatanatyam & Yoga Studio. Over the last four years, she has taught several dance enthusiasts.

Born and raised in Bangalore, Sneha completed her schooling and then pursued a five-year law degree course at the University Law College in Bangalore. Choosing to stay in her hometown allowed her to stay connected with dance and have more time for practice.

Regarding her role models, Sneha says she draws inspiration from whomever she can, whether they be her parents, friends, colleagues, or some great personalities. She is inspired by the works of Shrimati Rama Vaidyanathan.

Sneha feels inspired by a Kannada poem, which says to keep trying and never give up until you succeed. She feels that in order to succeed in our chosen pursuits, we must not give up easily, be hardworking, and remain consistent.

Speaking of her struggles, Sneha shares that when she started practicing law, she realized that the practical aspect of her work is much different from the theoretical aspect. She emphasizes the importance of practical knowledge in education, advising students to gain real-world experience by interacting with working seniors. When transitioning to full-time dance, she faced financial challenges but overcame them through careful planning for her dancing career growth. Maintaining consistency as a dancer has been a challenge for her.

For aspiring classical artists, she advises paying attention to fitness alongside practicing their art forms, emphasizing the need for strength and flexibility. She suggests incorporating allied physical activities, such as yoga, for sustained career growth.

Addressing the youth, she encourages them to take pride in their culture and traditions. She urges them to be the change they wish to see in others and contribute to the country's development.
