Dedicated to dance, Sneha instructs her students about the awards and scholarships provided by the Indian government. She wants to share her knowledge and help her students do what she hasn't been able to do in her own life.

Sneha Bajaj is the Founder and Director of the Nrityang Kathak Foundation in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

Sneha belongs to Kanpur and comes from a non-musical family. She spent her childhood in Kanpur itself. She was an average student at her school but actively participated in cultural and sports activities. She is a B.Com and did a Kathak course from Banaras Hindu University.

Talking about her dance journey, Sneha says that she used to dance from the tender age of two and received a lot of appreciation from her family members. She never liked Western dance. Fascinated by her dance, her parents enrolled her in a dance academy, where she learned Kathak. Once, after a show, a student of Pandit Birju Maharaj suggested her parents give her proper practice, so she went to Kalashram, Delhi, for three years.

Regarding mistakes, Sneha says that she regrets not having knowledge about the scholarships granted for learning Kathak, otherwise she would have been doing better.

When asked about the role models in her life, Sneha says that she received a lot of support from her parents for her dance training. Also, she says that whatever she is today it is because of her guru’s advice and teachings.

In her free time, Sneha likes to listen to music, especially ghazals and classical music. She also likes to play badminton and do exercises in her spare time.

Advising the aspirants to Kathak dance, Sneha says that they should give time to learn their art then definitely it would provide them with a better future.

To everyone, Sneha advises starting humbly and honestly. She suggests analyzing and understanding ourselves.
