After facing a series of tragic situations, Smitaa came out on top through her grit and rejuvenated her life, taking it to the next level, both personally and professionally.

Smitaa Nair is a Professional Mentor. She also runs her own company called Nurturing Life which helps entrepreneurs with their business models.

Smitaa hails from Mumbai. Growing up in an average South Indian family, she had always wanted to do something great with her life and was a determined person since her childhood.

Talking about her journey, Smitaa says that after her first marriage ended, she was completely broken and didn't know what to do with her life. However, she decided to stand up again for the sake of her young daughter. She started the process of rebuilding herself from scratch. After reading many books and doing ample introspection, she slowly but surely gained confidence in her life.

During her journey, Smitaa faced numerous struggles from her marriage being in shambles to financial crisis. She didn’t even have a mentor to guide her during that period, making the whole process more challenging.

Smitaa says that all throughout her journey, the one person who kept her going was her daughter, who kept reminding her of her purpose in life. Her father, her mentor, and her husband have also been instrumental in her journey towards success.

Smitaa believes in asking for help when in need of it. She says that you shouldn’t go at it alone as it might be very difficult.

Smitaa considers herself to be a leader by training and not by birth. She says that going through difficult situations and being with experienced people, made her a stronger woman with a vision to lead.

Smitaa says that if you want to become a life coach or a professional mentor, you need a big heart. She says that if you come into this field only for money, you won’t make it far, as this field is all about helping people. She also says that being with experts of the field and being aware about yourself are crucial to do good in this field. She continues to say that if you have a dream, you should just go at it without any kind of hesitation.

Comparing experience and education, Smitaa says that experience plays a much bigger role in success.

If given a Time Machine to revisit her past, Smitaa would like to start working for animals much earlier in her life. She goes on to say that except this, she won’t change even a bit of her past as she is the result of her past with which she is content.

Apart from her work, Smitaa likes to play with her dogs, spending time with her friends and family, reading books, and going on long drives and to the beaches.

Sharing her views about the COVID pandemic, Smitaa says that it has made people realise the value of life and relationships. She also says that the extended lockdowns have made people financially intelligent.

On a final note, Smitaa advises everyone to not hesitate in asking for help and surround themselves with positive people to live a good life.
