Sinder Kaur is the Founder and Director of Sanskar Kids House and Sanskar Public School.
Sinder started by establishing a play school. Sinder did face many challenges while opening her own school. Sinder spent many years working in a private school before embarking on her entrepreneurial academic journey. In 2005, she opened her school with just a single room. In the context of uncertainties like COVID, Sinder says that one should always be ready to face any kind of challenge in both personal and professional life. She adds that it was a difficult time for her to pay the salaries while ensuring there was no disruption in teaching activities. Sinder also facilitated online classes during the pandemic and surpassed all the challenges with a positive attitude. Her success mantra lies in patience and honesty.
Sinder recalls her childhood spent in Uttar Pradesh, where she spent her early years enjoying in her farmhouse.Though her parents weren’t educated, they made sure Sinder got access to a good education. She then studied in Nainital while living the life of a hostelier.
Sinder believes that the profession of teaching was once highly respected and valued, but now things have changed and become more professional and commercial. She adds that teachers can work efficiently only when they are trusted by the parents for what they do. Sinder laments that parents have become so busy that they don't have time for their children and leave everything to the school authorities.
When asked about her role models, Sinder says that she is inspired by Swami Vivekananda and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. She adds that it is important to become highly qualified to instill moral support in oneself. Sinder mentions that education provides one with the foundation while experience makes you climb up the ladder.
If Sinder could go back in a Time Machine, she would revisit her college days and start giving a helping hand to society from those very years.
Sinder advises the younger generation to listen to their parents and give value to the experiences they have had. She adds that children should always seek blessings from their parents and pay heed to their advice. Sinder suggests that they should not get bogged down in life and read knowledgeable books.
Besides work, Sinder devotes the rest of her time to her family and preparing a schedule for the next week. In her free time, she likes to read positive stories and write her diary.
