Simran is from Mumbai and loves singing. She has been singing from her childhood and used to perform with her mother. She now sings with veterans like Harshdeep Kaur.

Simran Duggal is a young singing sensation from Mumbai. She is 22 years old. She has pursued arts from St. Andrews College. Simran and her sister run a pop-duo group named ‘Simetri’.

Simran says that she loves to harmonize music, i.e., mixing different language songs together. She says that she comes from a family of artists. Her grandfather was the famous lyricist and writer, Rajendra Krishan of the film ‘Padosan’ fame. Her father is a composer and her mother is also a singer.

Simran says that they have been singing since childhood. She used to go to her dad’s studio and sing jingles for him. She and her sister used to accompany her mother to different hotel events and sing there as well.

Simran shares that she and her sister auditioned for Shalmali Kholgade, a famous singer, and got selected. They sang for her for almost two years. Then they joined Harshdeep Kaur and it was a big opportunity for them. Simran was also selected as a finalist for Simon Fuller pop group and got a chance to train in his Bootcamp in Los Angeles for a week.

Her favorite childhood memory is of all four of them in a car and singing together while driving off to some far-off place. She loves singing on such car trips with her family.

Simran says that her dream is to bring out Singles and also sing for Bollywood movies. She and her sister are ready to come out with a Hindi song which got delayed due to the pandemic. She also wants to debut internationally as her sister writes wonderful English songs.

Simran shares that she was not a very studious kid. She loves going on stage and singing and feels that whatever she has learned is only from experience. She feels that without proper exposure to the field, one cannot perform well in life.

If given a Time Machine, she would like to go back to a Christmas event where she was once performing at Badlapur, Maharashtra and it suddenly started raining. She says that it was a great moment singing in the rain.

In her free time, Simran likes to read books, swim and cook.
