Siddharth Sahu is a Marketing Executive at GoodDot, a plant-based meat company based in Nathdwara, Rajasthan.
Though young, he holds a crucial role at the company—managing public relations, training people, aligning clients with the latest marketing trends, and conducting large-scale seminars and workshops across India. Siddharth doesn't just handle day-to-day marketing tasks; he’s deeply involved in teaching and guiding people with practical, real-world skills. His work includes both offline training and physical events, allowing him to connect with thousands of individuals on-ground.
Marketing Executive Siddharth began working with GoodDot in July 2021. Within just two months of joining, he experienced significant personal growth. From being someone who feared public speaking, he transformed into a confident speaker capable of handling crowds ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 people in national seminars. Originally from Maharashtra, Siddharth Sahu completed his early education in Nathdwara. His schooling and college years were rooted there, and so is his personal and professional growth. Coming from a middle-class background, he never relied solely on academics—he supported his family by working alongside his parents while studying. This early exposure to responsibility shaped his mindset and laid the foundation for his work ethic.
Reflecting on the difficult times everyone faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, Siddharth Sahu recalls how deeply the crisis impacted middle-class families like his. For many, food became a luxury they could barely afford. This period made him realise the importance of helping others, especially during moments of mass suffering. His family and community struggled, but he learned valuable lessons—both in resilience and compassion.
The Lockdown, which lasted for about one and a half years, made job hunting even harder. Freshers struggled to find opportunities. Experience gaps widened. However, Siddharth chose to focus on what the pandemic taught rather than what it took away. One important lesson, he says, was about health and nutrition.
He strongly believes that COVID-19 was a wake-up call about the dangers of meat consumption. He refers to the spread of the virus from bats and emphasizes the global shift towards healthier, plant-based alternatives. In his view, COVID-19 highlighted the need to choose food that’s good for both health and humanity. He feels that products offered by GoodDot and at Gurdwaras can help meat-eaters gradually move toward a more compassionate lifestyle—one that saves animal lives and prevents future pandemics.
For Marketing Professional Siddharth, the mantra of success is simple: “Karma and Karma.” Focus on your actions, not the results. He believes people often worry too much about outcomes, when the real key is consistent effort. Once you've decided what you want, don’t waste time calculating whether it’s easy or hard. Just keep going.
He draws motivation from several role models, but one of his biggest inspirations comes from a book called Dark Horse, which features the life story of a self-respecting IAS aspirant. The story of this man—whose father refused a salary-based post to stay away from corruption—deeply moved Siddharth. It taught him the value of integrity and self-respect. He also believes that no one should be forced to live under pressure or suppression. Self-respect, for him, is non-negotiable.
Siddharth shares a thoughtful message about decision-making. He encourages everyone to ask themselves three questions before committing to any decision: Why? When? For whom? This self-questioning helps clarify goals and avoids regret. He criticizes the herd mentality that’s common in today’s job market, especially among aspirants preparing for competitive exams. Instead of blindly following popular options like Patwari or Constable roles, he advises researching lesser-known but more suitable opportunities. According to him, if you run after the crowd, you’ll only become part of the crowd. Choose wisely, based on your own strengths and interests.
