Always keep your dreams up.
Siddesh Sawant is the founder and owner of The Tipsy Co. in Mumbai.
Recalling his childhood, Siddesh says that he belongs to a middle-class family and faced many struggles in his childhood. He completed his graduation in commerce and did hospitality management, through which he got into the bartending field.
Speaking about his journey, Siddesh says that it was quite difficult to make his parents understand his passion and profession. He claims that the bartending industry experienced less of a surge in 2004 than it does now, making it difficult for him to establish himself in this industry. With his hard work and determination, he made his mark and established his own company with a team of twenty people. Afterwards, he travelled to four international destinations, covered ten states in India, and did more than 200 events in Mumbai.
When asked about his accomplishments, Siddesh says that to become an entrepreneur, to create a brand for himself, and to become a competitor for the big brands is an accomplishment for him.
Siddesh says that Christian Delpech is his role model, and he also got support and inspiration from his ex-bosses, as he learned a lot from them.
In his spare time, Siddesh likes to go on adventures and explore things. He says that he is blessed that his field gives him the chance to travel and explore.
To attain mental peace, Siddesh gives himself time for relaxation. He also likes to spend time with his family.
Siddesh’s life mantra is to always trust and believe in yourself to achieve the desired goals and success in life.
Advising aspirants to his field, Siddesh says that it is a service industry, and you have to give your hundred percent and struggle a lot to achieve success in it. He says it is important in this field to be different and to create your own identity. There are some schools that provide bartending courses that have a duration of six to twelve months. Before entering this industry, it is important to be prepared to face the challenges, and one should have the attitude of never giving up, says Siddesh.
