Speaking about his professional development, Shyam Sunder states that he began teaching at the National Institute of Banking in Jaipur after earning his bachelor's degree. There, he taught for a while. Afterwards, he considered taking those tests after learning that several of the pupils he had instructed had gone on to become probationary officers at other banks. He ultimately decided to become a probationary officer at the State Bank of India after passing many tests on his first try. Since then, he has continued to advance within the bank, and he currently holds the position of top manager at the Udaipur branch.

He explains that having guts and knowledge are essential for moving forward in life. According to him, it's critical to assess the problem and identify a remedy. He believes that life is an endless adventure. To succeed in life, one must possess bravery and a clear vision.

Shyam Sunder hails from a village in Bhilwara and completed his schooling there. Reflecting on his COVID-19 experience, Shyam Sunder believes the pandemic taught him a lot and gave him a new outlook on life. He notes that it changed how we learn and experience various aspects of life, as well as how we connect internationally through technology.

If Shyam Sunder could travel back in time via a time machine, he would examine ongoing events before making a career decision. The poem "Agar kuch bhi nahi hai toh bhi ho sakti hai shuruaat, yeh shuruaat kahe ki vaha kuch hai" is also quoted by him.
