Shyam Nagori originally hails from Badi Sadri in Chittorgarh. For the past thirty two years he has been settled in Udaipur. He is into export and import of marble. He has his office in Sukher industrial area of Udaipur.
In 1988, Shyam got married. He used to do a small business of ice candies and kulfis. When he was blessed with a baby girl, he came to Udaipur to see her with just seventeen rupees in his pocket. His friend advised him to set up a business in Udaipur itself instead of going back to his hometown. At that time there was a great scope of doing a business in marble and minerals in Udaipur. Sensing that, he too thought of doing that business. He had no money and no experience in this field. But he believed in himself and started with humble beginnings. He borrowed some money from his relatives and started his business with a partner who hailed from his hometown itself. He named his venture as Heena Marbles after his daughter’s name.
Shyam experienced it all. He went from rags to riches and back to rags. When he started his business, soon he made huge profits and everything was going fine. One of his partners invested his money in the share market too. He made a handsome return on his investments in the share market. He thought of diversifying his marble business by utilising his profits in the share markets. But his partner advised him to retain the money for some more time to yield more return on his investment. But as fate would have it, he suffered a huge loss on his investment in the share market. He had too many liabilities to fulfill. His marble business got hit adversely too owing to this. And he was on the verge of bankruptcy. People lost faith in him and hesitated to lend him any more money.
But Shyam did not give up. And based on his relationships with people and honesty he picked up again. Today he is a very well known businessman in the supply segment of marbles and doing really well in his life. Besides, he is also known and respected in his community.
Shyam believes in having a positive outlook toward life. He is the District Cabinet Secretary of Prant 3233 E2 of Lions Clubs. During the Covid pandemic, along with his club members and other people, he extended a helping hand to the needy. He provided food, medical and other basic facilities to the needy people.
Shyam ensures that all members in his family stay united. He occasionally organises family gatherings and they all engage in devotional activities and thus stay in touch with each other. Besides, Shyam also tries to help all his family members in his best capacity.
Shyam considers his wife as his best friend. He acknowledges the fact that her wife has fulfilled her duties really well. Besides, he considers his parents as his inspiration and role models.
Shyam advises that instead of dwelling on the past you should focus on the future. Furthermore, he says that you should focus on positive aspects in life and never stop dreaming. He also advises the youth to adapt as per the situation and focus on time management.
