Shweta always dreamt of starting her own business instead of doing a job. Despite being an arts student, she understood business and wanted to try her hand at it. Now, she is a director at an ITES company and enjoys her work.

Shweta Dubey is a Director at Fusion Business Solutions Pvt Ltd, Udaipur since 2008.

Shweta reveals that her spouse started this business in 2006, and she was awarded a directorship in it following their marriage. However, she didn't practically begin working at this firm until 2018. The firm provides IT-enabled services, with a primary focus on backend operations and processing. The majority of their clients are from the UK, the US, and a few European nations. However, they have just begun to explore the Southeast Asian market as well.

Recalling her childhood, Shweta says she was raised at the home of her maternal grandparents in Aurangabad, Bihar, where she was born. Her mother, a government school teacher, was posted to Aurangabad after she had lived there for eleven years, so she moved in with her. However, her father and his entire family had previously resided in Patna, so she too had moved there. She attended St. Severin's School in Patna for her education. She graduated with honours from Patna Women's College with a B.A. in Political Science. She studied LLB as well.

Shweta shares that as a child, she was quite mischievous. She was never a studious youngster, despite her academic prowess. She made a lot of friends in both high school and college, and many of them she still keeps in touch with.

She says that although her parents had always prodded her to enter the civil service, she had no interest in doing so since she didn't want to do a job. Rather, she was constantly itching to try something new. She had always been extremely close to her uncle and aunt, who loved her more than their own daughter, so in order to get away from this scenario, she decided to relocate to Indore and live with them. She worked at a local private school and studied for the civil services throughout her four years there. She married soon after. Then, as she became involved in domestic duties, she never considered pursuing a job or doing anything else.

However, Shweta's brother-in-law separated from them in 2018, leaving her husband overburdened. As a result, she decided to enter the company to help ease some of that load. That altered her perspective on life in general. She began actively engaging in the company's operations from that point.

Shweta shares that coming from an arts background and knowing nothing about technology made working in the IT and technology area difficult for her. But with time, she gained an understanding of how the various corporate departments operated.

Shweta attributes her success to her lovely and encouraging family, which consists of her husband, in-laws, parents, uncle, aunt, and two kids. Her family motivates her to strive for better things in life. She has gained some understanding of business in her working life, but she still has plenty to learn and continues to pick up new skills from everyone in the industry.

Shweta looks up to her mother as a role model as she has always worked really hard. She advised Shweta to forge her own route and, in any case, to never submit to authority. Aside from this, she is greatly impacted by her father-in-law as he taught her how to be joyful and content in life regardless of the circumstances. Vinod Verma, her mentor at work, is another one of her role models. He always encouraged and assisted her in making progress. She believes that he is the reason she is who she is now.

Good things take time to come to pass, therefore Shweta cautions everyone against acting hastily or impulsively. Give your task your whole attention, don't rush it, and don't expect results right away. You must strike a very balanced mix between calm and speed.

Even if she gets a time machine to go to her past, Shweta would not like to make any changes as she believes the events of the past made her who she is today.

Reflecting on her challenges, Shweta shares that she attended a Hindi-medium school until the seventh grade. When she moved to Patna, she was unable to read even a single English sentence, which prevented her from being admitted to an English-medium school. She accepted this as a challenge and focused on improving her English.

In her free time, Shweta likes to play with her children, cook, clean, watch Bollywood movies, and listen to music.

Shweta likes the song "Tera mera pyar amar, phir bhi jaane kyun lagta hai darr" and is motivated by the quote "Miles to go before I sleep". She claims that every day, she and her spouse focus their energies on ways to improve our society.
