An accident changed Shubham’s life forever. Earlier he was living a carefree life and today, he has become a responsible entrepreneur after losing his father. He has made his mark in the building and construction line in Meerut by retaining his father’s identity intact.

Shubham Singhal is an Entrepreneur. He is the owner of SRN and Company, based in Meerut. He is also a Director at SK Holdings Company, Bangalore. The company operates in the construction and development line of business.

Shubham hails from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He did his engineering from Vidya College of Engineering. He also studied Law. After finishing his college, he got his first job at Collabera Technologies Pvt Ltd in Bangalore through a campus placement drive. Things were going smoothly in his life until the day his father died in an accident. This incident left him in deep shock. Due to the burden of household responsibilities and this shock, he took a break of six months to figure out what to do next.

After six months, Shubham started his career as an Independent Consultant in that same company. Alongside, he took over his father’s business, converted it into a company, and started running it.

Recalling his childhood, Shubham says that as a kid, he was very notorious and was more interested in sports than in studies. During his college days, he was the best in photography and Golf, he says.

Talking about his role models, Shubham says he considers his parents as his role models because his father gave him complete freedom in his career and never asked him to handle his family business. His mother always stands by him and no matter what decision he makes, she always supports him till the end.

Describing his struggles, Shubham says that he has struggled a lot in his life. After his father’s death, his relatives started giving him ludicrous advice and no one supported him. But without being deceived by anyone, he took his decisions wisely and reached this position today.

Regarding his achievements, Shubham says that in the capacity of an Independent Consultant, he was awarded the ‘Best Sales Award’ by the company, which was an achievement for him. In addition, for SK Holdings, he has developed a corporate building under his independent charge, which is no less than an achievement for him.

About the COVID pandemic, Shubham says that everyone’s business had come to a standstill because of the pandemic. However, after the pandemic, businesses have taken a grand leap too. Secondly, he feels that earlier people used to worry about their future, but now their attention has greatly been shifted to the present, which is a good thing. He believes that COVID has also promoted the virtual work culture extensively.

When asked about his views about leadership, Shubham says that he does not consider himself a born leader. But he believes that with time and experience, he has become a good leader. He thinks that taking his team along and understanding their needs is his job as a good leader and he acknowledges it.

According to Shubham, the synchronization of education and experience is important to build a career and become successful.

Sharing his success mantra, Shubham says that to grow in any sector, it is very important to have an understanding and in-depth knowledge of its market. Lastly, having a clear vision can lead you to success.

In his spare time, Shubham enjoys traveling, and interacting and socializing with people. Besides, he likes to spend time with his friends and go on outings with his family.

If Shubham had a Time Machine, he would have gone back and brought his father with him.

Advising entrepreneurs, Shubham says that you must have your business vision clear and focus on what value it can bring to you. Further, he advises them to increase the value-addition potential of their business and recognize its ability to face the competition prevailing in the market. He also suggests they make the best use of technology and digital platforms to grow their business.
