An entrepreneur, Shubham, who struggled a lot to pursue his studies abroad, has been working in the field of hospitality for the last seven years.

Shubham Rao is a co-owner at Sun and Moon Restaurant in Udaipur.

Recalling his childhood, Shubham says that he belongs to Udaipur and has memories of small lanes and old streets. He completed his education in Udaipur. His childhood memories include collecting coins from different countries around the world.

Talking about his struggles, Shubham says that he faced many challenges before going abroad for his studies. He had to wait one year to pursue his degree in Australia. There were many financial problems in his family, so he faced many hardships. But he never gave up and went abroad for his studies.

Sharing his COVID experiences, Shubham says that the pandemic was a big struggle for everyone, especially for the hospitality industry. He and his employees faced many problems as they had to reduce staff due to less income. The other struggle was to have a quality crowd.

Shubham’s role models are his employees, who inspire him the most. He got inspiration from their hard work for the growth of his restaurant.

Advising aspirants in his field, Shubham believes that professionalism is very important. Leadership and entrepreneurship are also key skills that are necessary for a person to succeed in the hospitality sector.

Talking about leadership, Shubham says that he is not a born leader. He feels that no one is a born leader, and people learn such skills through experience.

If given a time machine, Shubham wants to spend more time in Melbourne, Australia, where he worked for five years.

In his free time, Shubham likes to chill after working hours at his own restaurant. He also goes for long drives and enjoys music.
