Shrutee Choudhary is from Ranchi and is currently living in Mumbai, pursuing her career in Acting and Writing.
She has done her graduation in Advertising from K. C. College. She always wanted to go into a creative field and used to write from her childhood days. She has also learned acting from New York.
Shrutee shifted to Mumbai to pursue a career in Acting and started making contacts and giving auditions. She has so far done some advertisements and short films. She has recently played a small part in a Netflix series as well. Meanwhile, she continued writing as well and has self-published her novel, ‘A Garage Sale of Lovelorn Things’.
Shrutee says that traveling is her biggest source of inspiration. She gets motivated when she goes to new places between the mountains and rivers and it also makes her stress free.
Her Role Model is her mother who is a Professor of English Literature and has always supported Shrutee in all her choices. Her mother used to motivate her to read and write and made her interested in the creative field.
Shrutee feels that being a very anxious person has resulted in her losing out on many opportunities. She thinks that she should have grabbed more opportunities coming her way and regrets not doing so.
Shrutee shares that the Covid pandemic had a deep impact on the film industry and everything slowed down. However, she also opines that Arts like Films and Books are never going to vanish and will always pass the test of time.
Shrutee says that the proudest moment for her was when she helped sixteen women and herself get justice during the ‘Me too’ movement. She was also featured on the ‘Mid-Day Women of the year’ list with twenty other powerful women.
Shrutee thinks that to be an actor one has to have an inclination towards it and should not do it just because everyone is doing so. It is a very fickle profession and you have to be patient about it. One should read about filmmaking and watch films to observe its technical aspects to learn more. She also feels that one should not take rejections to the heart and just keep moving in life.
Shrutee feels that Education has turned into a mundane thing that has to be done for the sake of doing it. She thinks that instead of imparting any value to a person, education has just become a thing to earn social acknowledgment as a successful person. She feels that learning new things and skills from experiences can also take a person to great heights.
