Dr. Shripati Vyas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies, Udaipur. He has been teaching at the institute for the last three years.
Talking about his professional journey, Shripati says that besides being an assistant professor, he is the Placement Coordinator and also handles research activities for the Electrical Engineering department of the college.
Recalling his early days, Shripati says he completed his schooling in Alwar and then moved to Kota to prepare for IIT-JEE. Thereafter, he completed his BTech and MTech from the College of Technology and Engineering in Udaipur. Shripati recently completed his PhD in 2021.
Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Shripati emphasises that one gains education through both formal degrees and life experiences.
Discussing his challenges, Shripati says he missed some competitive exams by just a few marks, which was a difficult phase for him. He had also launched a startup, which incurred losses.
Speaking of his achievements, Shripati says he has published over 30 research papers, filed two patents, written three books, and attended more than fifty workshops and conferences. He has also been a recipient of the Mewar Vaigyanik Award on the occasion of the Vigyan Diwas and the Young Scientist Award, conferred by the ITSR Foundation, Jaipur. Shripati feels that his profession has helped shape his personality and made him confident.
When asked about his role models, Shripati says his PhD guide, Dr. Joshi, has been his constant support in his educational journey. He also draws inspiration from his grandfather.
If Shripati could travel back in time through a time machine, he would appear for the IIT JEE exam with full effort and try to get a good rank in the same.
Shripati advises the youth to learn from the journeys of legends like Swami Vivekananda and always strive to achieve something big in life. He suggests they seek career advice from their parents and teachers and then choose a path for themselves.
In his free time, Shripati likes to cook, listen to music, and play games.
