Dr. Shri Ram Arya is working as a Professor at Vidya Bhawan Rural Institute in Udaipur. He is also the Arts Faculty Chairman. He is also the Scout Roar Leader Trainer in Rajasthan.
Shri Ram lives in Udaipur. He was born in Jaisinghpura village in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. He says he passed his childhood in an extremely backward village where there were no lights, no buses and no other facilities available for studies. Shri Ram continued his education and did his Ph.D. two times, first in Agricultural Science and another in Sociology.
Talking about his struggles in life, Shri Ram says that he used to go four km on foot to his school for his primary education. He had to sacrifice many things as a student. When he was admitted to higher secondary school, he was determined to live a different life. But he had to live without his parents. Adapting himself from village life to city life was the biggest challenge for him, says Shri Ram.
When asked about his role models in life, Shri Ram says that he used to read the books of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He was very much inspired by their lives. So he considers them as his role models.
Talking about his Covid experience, Shri Ram says that he wrote a book and also completed his Ph.D. work during the pandemic. He also took online classes for his students.
If a Time Machine is given to him, Shri Ram would like to go back in time and work against superstitions and for upbringing values of life that he did at a young age.
To the youngsters, Shri Ram advises them to live a balanced life, work hard and also take up courses in the field of agriculture.
