Shreya Banerjee is the Owner and Senior Artist at 3 Cube Tattoo. She is also a Clinical Cosmetologist. She has been doing permanent makeup for seven years and making tattoos for nine years.

Shreya was born in Kolkata but she did her college studies in Bengaluru. She graduated in Biotechnology and did a master's in Cosmetology. She also has a CIDESCO certificate in aesthetic medicine from Zurich in Switzerland. Currently, she is pursuing a nutritionist course.

Talking about the journey in her life, Shreya says she observed that in other fields she would not be able to have good earnings. Being from the medical field, she chose tattoo making as her profession. And so, she continued herself in this field and decided to put her heart and soul into this.

Regarding role models in her life, Shreya says that she was inspired by the paintings of Van Gogh, the poetry of Tagore and the artwork of Edgar Allen Poe. She does not have any one role model. She has been inspired by many great artists, says Shreya.

Sharing about her achievements, Shreya says that when any client or any of her students appreciate her work or give her credit for her correct guidance then she feels proud and happy. She considers that as her achievement.

Shreya regrets that she did not get exposure when she started. Also, there was no such organization or any institution where she could have taken proper training in tattoo making.

Regarding difficulties and challenges in her life, Shreya says that she faced a lot of sexism in this field. It is believed that women cannot be good tattoo artists while Shreya says that she has been doing well in this field and also other women, too.

Advising the aspirants to the tattoo field, Shreya advises considering their age first. If they are below eighteen years of age then they should practice drawing and do research about the types of tattoos. She also advises continuing their education because she considers it a  must.

To everyone, Shreya advises them to put their heart and soul into their work and follow their passion.

Shreya’s success mantra is to do everything in the present. She does not think and worry about the past or the future.
