SP Agrawal served as the Principal of many Kendriya Vidyalayas in different cities in his long academic career of thirty five years. During his professional career, he always put his morals above all and so too he taught to his students.

SP Agrawal holds a first class M.Sc. degree in Chemistry and M.Ed. He also received a gold medal in his B.Ed. Then he joined as the Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Shimla. After twenty five years from his last formal degree, he did his MA from Shimla University. In 2004, he was transferred to Bhilwara and he joined Kendriya Vidyalaya there as the Principal of the school.

SP Agrawal considers his father as his role model. He says that his father always motivated him to purchase and read the best books. His father also motivated him to read religious texts like Ramayana with the correct usage of the language.

SP Agrawal says that he faced a lot of struggles in his life. He says that had the struggles not been there in his life, he would not have been where he is today.

In 2015, SP Agrawal retired as the principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dungarpur and joined Mount View School as the Director of Academics. He served at Mount View School for five years. He says that at Mount View School, he could interact with and learnt a lot from young kids from early classes like Playgroup and Nursery as opposed to Kendriya Vidyalaya where classes begin from 1st std. onwards.

Talking about his achievements, SP Agrawal says that he got the Piramal Gold Medal in 1979, which was conferred upon him by the then Education Minister of Rajasthan. In 2014, he was given the KVS Incentive Award by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.

During his long journey in academia, SP Agrawal got the opportunity to work at many Kendriya Vidyalayas in different cities of the country. In 1979, he started his journey at a school in Churu as a teacher. Later he was selected as a lecturer of Chemistry in Sikar by the Rajasthan government. Then he was selected as a PGT Chemistry by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and posted at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Zawar Mines. Then he was made the Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Shimla. After having served in different cities as the Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya there, he retired as the Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dungarpur.

According to SP Agrawal goals of education are twofold, the Instant Goal and the Ultimate Goal. He defines them by saying that the Instant Goal of education is about earning a living for oneself and the Ultimate Goal of education is about serving the country and countrymen.

SP Agrawal says that education and values are the two mantras of life. They both are complementary of one another and will always be relevant in one’s life.

SP Agrawal advises that we should never lose hope in life as life is the best gift given to us by the Almighty.

As a teacher, SP Agrawal always tried to make his pedagogy interactive and innovative. He always designed his lessons in such a way so that the students could grasp them easily.

SP Agrawal believes that the youth is so energetic, intelligent and full of capacities. They just need to be patient and tolerant and channelise their energy in the right direction to be successful in life.

During the Covid pandemic, SP Agrawal got an opportunity to read religious texts like Ramayana, Bhagavad Gita etc. Reading them filled him with confidence to sustain these tough times. Besides, he advises people to follow the Covid protocols and adhere to the guidelines by the government to combat the virus.
