A social worker and a politician, Shoyab has been interested in serving people since childhood and has always been able to win the trust of the people he worked for. And getting elected as the Municipal Councillor from his ward is a testament to it.

Shoyab Hussain is a Councillor of the Municipal Corporation, Udaipur from Ward no 45. He is affiliated with Janata Sena -a political party. Besides, he is also into construction and building work.

Shoyab was born in Udaipur. He went to Fateh School. He says that he studied till 9th std only. Then he started working with his maternal uncle and would assist him in his construction work.

He shares that he was a sportsperson at school. He would play Cricket, Football, Volleyball among other games.

He has been interested in serving society since childhood. His maternal uncles got him a job at Reliance Chemotex, in Udaipur. He was the President of the Labourers’ Union there. He worked with his heart in the best interests of the labourers there. He also got a leave sanctioned for the labourers on the Labourers’ day every year and owing to that the management at the industry was disgruntled with him which eventually led to him taking voluntary retirement from the industry. Then he worked for his community and was also the President of the same for ten years.

After getting elected as the Councillor from Ward no 45, he worked in his best capacity to serve the people of the ward. He got the drainage system there in order. Even during the Covid pandemic, he distributed Covid kits and rations to the people of his ward. He worked for the people and they also joined hands with him to combat the pandemic.

To the youth aspiring to serve society, Shoyab advises that you should be with people in their moments of joy and sorrow, irrespective of their religion and caste.

Shoyab has shown leadership qualities since his school days. At school, he was the Sports Minister of the Students’ Council. People always loved him and he was always able to win their trust.

He considers politician Randhir Singh as his inspiration and guiding light. He shares that Randhir Singh is an exemplary leader who works for all people irrespective of their backgrounds, castes and religions.

Being able to get drainage channels constructed in his ward, he considers it as one of his achievements.

To the youth, his message is to work hard with honesty to fulfill your parents’ dreams. Besides, they should be responsible toward their families and society.
