Shivani Sharma is an educationist, a motivational speaker and an NLP Practitioner with a decade’s experience in the educational sector. Born and brought up in Ajmer and married in Gwalior, Shivani later shifted to Udaipur and is currently working as the Principal of Central Academy School. She completed her schooling at St Mary’s School, Ajmer and did her further studies at Sophia Girls College. Shivani has done her Masters in English Literature and also her Bachelor in Education. She has been a scholar throughout and has topped in her academics continuously.
Shivani shares that her educational journey coupled with family responsibilities has not been easy. Her husband got paralysed and her father underwent bypass surgery. She has stood like a pillar fulfilling all her responsibilities with a brave heart while also taking care of her ten-year-old child. Shivani by all means has stood the test of time overcoming the challenges that life put her through.
Discussing COVID, Shivani shares that it has been a challenge for the education industry with students losing their temperament and being subjected to a stressful atmosphere. She however happily shares that the education system has taken a good lead with organisational skills nurturing students and making teachers realize that there is an important connection not just with technology but the connection that we share with ourselves. Shivani feels that the need of the time is to groom students and mentors with technology coupled with training and integrating the art.
Shivani shares that her role model is each and everyone who nurtured her and brought out the best in her, from her housemaid to her mother who introduced her to this world and every educator who made her the best individual she could be.
Talking about leadership, Shivani believes that every one of us is a born leader and it’s just the personal connection that we build with ourselves makes us realize the true capabilities within us.
Shivani in her free time loves to sing. Also, as a motivational speaker, she writes poems and songs and everything that touches her heart. She is also into painting and reading books.
She quotes a statement by Mahatma Gandhi which is “Be the change you wish to see in society.” Through this, Shivani urges everyone to be a changemaker and understand what exactly we need to give to our society so that the generation to come is developed in the best way possible. She believes that sustainable development should come up both ecologically and educationally.
