Shivani, who lives and breathes dance, also finds her passion in singing and acting. She is an all-round artist who has represented India in foreign nations.

Shivani Paliwal is a multi-talented artist who is into dance, singing, and acting.

Recalling her childhood, Shivani says that she had been dancing since she was two years old. She started her dance journey with folk dance and grew up learning various forms of dance. Her only dream was to perform on a big stage and showcase her talent in front of the world.

Shivani, in particular, shares a love for Indian classical dance. Following her interest and passion for dance, she did her graduation in Kathak. "Kathak taught me discipline, which is also important in other areas of life", says Shivani.

Shivani did her schooling at Alok Senior Secondary School, followed by her BA from Australia.

Describing her achievements, Shivani feels proud to share that after going through several rounds of auditions and a boot camp, she was selected to represent India in an international pop group called ‘Now United’. She was in the group for five years, during which she also appeared on stage shows in more than 25 foreign countries, rapping and singing. She was the youngest Indian artist who was given the Golden Visa by the UAE government. She has also worked with the renowned artists Badshah and Bosco Martis. She was invited to perform live in the Special Olympics held in Abu Dhabi. One of her music videos is set to be released soon.

Sharing her challenges, Shivani says that she auditioned for various reality shows like DID, Dance Plus, and India’s Got Talent but never got selected for any of them. Her failures often left her demotivated. When Shivani got selected for ‘Now United’ and had to tour internationally, she often faced the problem of food, being a vegetarian.

When asked about her role models, Shivani says she draws inspiration from her family members. As a dance lover, she finds inspiration in Madhuri Dixit and Prabhu Deva. Shivani feels inspired by the song ‘Dear Zindagi.’

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Shivani says that experience has proved more valuable in her life as compared to education.

Even if Shivani could travel back in time through a time machine, she would not change anything since her life experiences have brought her where she is today. However, if given the opportunity, she would go back to 2017 and relive her time when she got shortlisted for Now United.

Shivani advises the youth to be patient since failures are part and parcel of everyone’s lives. She suggests they take one step at a time and practise their skill as much as they can.
