Fall down seven times but stand up eight.
Shiva Dalord is from Chandigarh and the owner of Vimoksh Tattoo Studio. He was working in Dubai and recently shifted to India to pursue his passion.
Shiva says that he was in college when he saw a show on Discovery Channel about Tattoo Artists and got inspired by it. He started searching more about it when he was in his second year of college.
Shiva says that there were not many Tattoos training centers and he had to research a lot. He was pursuing his B.C.A. and dropped the idea of becoming a Tattoo artist and joined a job. However, the job could not hold him back for a long time and he again started searching for training in the Tattoo field.
He had a friend who had learned Tattooing from Bangkok and charged him a hefty amount to train. However, he did not teach Shiva well and left mid-way. Shiva then started self-learning from various sources online.
Shiva shares that his friend Rajendra has always motivated him to pursue what he loved. He even searched for training centers for Shiva and was there in every good and bad phase of his life.
Shiva says that in Covid everything was shut down and he too had to work from home. However, his business still functioned well and he did not see many losses in it.
Shiva feels that his biggest achievement was when his parents were proud of him and appreciated his work. Earlier they used to think that it is not a good career option but now their thoughts have changed.
Shiva advises the new aspirants of the field to train well and practice as much as possible. He feels that nowadays there are many options available to self-learn.
In his free time, Shiva likes to watch web series, spend time with his wife and go on short traveling trips.
