Shiv Nath Yogi is working as a biochemistry lab assistant at Alok Senior Secondary School, Udaipur. He has spent over ten years in this position. Shiv says that there is a risk when the liquids or chemicals are not used properly, so he always advises his students to be aware while doing experiments and not to mix any unknown chemicals.
Shiv says that recent times have been challenging for him financially. But on the personal front, he had a good time with his family. But after some time, he grew bored and desired to work, but he was unable to do so because the school was closed and the administration would occasionally call the staff to school.
Shiv cherishes his childhood memories, which were full of fun and enjoyment, and misses them to a great extent. If given a chance to go back in time, like everyone else, he also wants to go back and relive his childhood, where there was no stress, no pressure, and a carefree lifestyle.
Shiv believes that education is essential, but experience has its own importance.
Talking about his achievements, Shiv says that he has been awarded the Rashtrapati Award in Scout and Guide. He is inspired by Baden Powell, who said that "you should always make your own identity," and he follows the same, which has now become the mantra of his life. When he joined the school in 2010, he was appointed as a lab boy who was responsible for cleaning the labs and keeping a check on the work going on, but with his dedication and hard work, today he is responsible for making the students perform the practicals. In just 3 years as a lab boy, he acquired so much knowledge that, in 2014, he was appointed as the lab assistant.
Shiv is of the opinion that leadership comes with experience and that no one is a born leader.
