At the young age of eighteen, Shiv Prakash joined a government job to support his family. He then joined the banking sector as a clerk and with his hard work and dedication, he eventually retired as the chairman of an established rural bank in Rajasthan.

Shiv Prakash Shrimali retired as the chairman of Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank.

Shiv Prakash was born and raised in Bikaner. However, currently, he is settled in Jaipur.

Recollecting his childhood memories, Shiv Prakash says that his childhood was spent in  adversity. He did not even have the basic resources at his disposal for his survival. However, his parents' blessings and unqualified love for him always kept him psyched up to do something different and create his own identity, he says.

Shiv Prakash shares that his mother always wanted him to become a doctor and he even studied in the Science-Bio stream in high school but his family’s financial conditions did not allow him to continue his studies in that discipline further. At the age of eighteen, he had to join a job with Rajasthan State Archives. And then in 1980, he joined the then-State Bank of Bikaner as a clerk. Continuing in the banking sector, he eventually retired as the chairman of Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank.

Talking about struggles in his life, Shiv Prakash says that he never really had to face any struggles as such in his life as his parents were always there by his side.

Sharing his views on the importance of education v/s experience in life, Shiv Prakash says that education matters up to a certain extent in life, and thereafter what you learn from your surroundings and experience matters more.

According to Shiv Prakash, to become a good leader one should first and foremost be self-confident and if one has self-confidence then it also makes one passionate about their work which in turn makes one a leader.

If he could go back in time via a Time Machine, Shiv Prakash, rectifying all the mistakes that he committed, would want to do different things that he could not do earlier.

Reviewing his COVID experience, Shiv Prakash says that during the pandemic he tried to help the needy in the best way he could. Besides, he says that by the grace of God none in his family contracted the disease.

To the youth, Shiv Prakash advises them to keep pace with changing times to stay relevant. Besides, he advises them to work for society and for the upliftment of the less privileged.  Furthemore, he advises them to always respect their parents and their points of view.

To people, Shiv Prakash advises them to follow their passion and do their work by giving their one hundred percent to it.

In his spare time, Shiv Prakash likes to sing songs and do his bit to keep his surroundings clean and tidy.
