A music instructor and music academy owner, Shiraz says that the support of his parents helped him excel in the field of art. He feels that time and patience is necessary in any field to gain excellence.

Shiraz Shamsi is a music instructor and the owner of SS Music Academy. He hails from Agra and has been running his academy for the past ten years. He teaches various instruments like the guitar, keyboard, and singing as well. He also provides online training through platforms like WhatsApp and Zoom.

Talking about his childhood, Shiraz says that he made some good friends, with whom he is still in touch. He was also very active in playing games and feels that outdoor games should be preferred over indoor ones as they provide us with more strength in life.

When asked about his journey, Shiraz says that it has been an overall good journey. He says that when he started learning, he did not have much financial resources, so he started teaching music to two to three students to get some extra income, which he invested in his own learning process.

Sharing about his interest in the field, he says he had an initial interest in the field from the very beginning and got full support from his parents. However, he feels that all parents want their kids to become doctors or engineers, and very few of them actually support fields like music. Shiraj advises parents that they should support their kids in achieving their dreams in life because if a person works in his field of interest, the growth will be exponential.

Talking about his life mantra, Shiraz says that we should never take shortcuts in life. Many students come to him to learn music in just a month or two, which he feels benefits no one. He feels that we should give our full attention to learning music and have patience

Speaking about his mistakes, Shiraz says he feels that earlier he used to miss many opportunities due to self-doubt and a lack of confidence. However, now he has learned that we should never miss opportunities that come our way.

When asked about his accomplishments, Shiraz says that the most important thing in life is to be happy. On the professional front, he has performed in many stage shows and programmes, which is an achievement.

When asked about his role models, Shiraz says that his parents are his first and foremost role models in life. Also, he says that one of his gurus, who provided him with free classes when he had no money to pay and always supported his zeal to learn, is also his role model in life.

When asked how he attains mental peace, Shiraz says that he looks towards music and plays his guitar to get de-stressed.

Advising the youth, Shiraz says that we should do everything in life but not put too much stress on anything and give everything time to happen at their own pace.

In his free time, Shiraz likes traveling, visiting hill stations, and going to the gym.
