Shilu thinks that the future of homeopathy is bright. She says that if the classical modes of practicing homeopathy are followed then even the most critical diseases can be cured by it. She advises that a homeopath should train under an experienced homeopath first to learn the rules and principles of homeopathy better. Besides, she says homeopathy is about curing a patient holistically and not about only treating a particular disease.
Shilu shares that she started her clinic in Sardarshahar, a small town in Churu, and later, through word of mouth, her clinic’s name spread to different places across the country, and currently, it also operates in Udaipur.
Shilu says that when she is able to treat a critical patient through homeopathy, she feels the most rewarded.
Talking about COVID, Shilu says that it was initially thought that only allopathy could cure COVID patients but soon, homeopathy also found its relevance in treating them.
Talking about her role models, Shilu says that she considers her father, who always guided her, her role model. Her father always maintained his calm and remained positive in all his life's ups and downs. Besides, Dr. Anshu Sharma, from whom she learned the practical aspects of homeopathy, is also a role model for her, and she owes all of whatever she is today to him.
Shilu thinks that mental health is a pressing issue and is spreading like an epidemic. And the need is to be aware of the issue and address it. She advises parents to talk with their children about their emotional worries and never leave them alone. Further, she advises everyone never to shy away from seeking help from a mental health expert.
Shilu says that her life motto is to spread awareness of Homeopathy and that the scope of the same is not limited to treating cold and cough only but it can cure the most critical diseases also.
To aspiring students of homeopathy, Shilu advises them to also train under a classical homeopath besides their college classes. Besides, she advises them to take to homeopathy only if they’re passionate about it. Further, she advises them to work hard and be passionate about whatever they do if they want to do something extraordinary in life.
Talking about her hardships, Shilu says that starting her own clinic when she was just twenty-two and then making people believe in the efficacy of homeopathy to treat their diseases entailed its own set of challenges for her. Later, after her wedding, she had to start her clinic from scratch in Udaipur. However, she never felt depressed during tough times in her life and that’s what kept her going.
Her Life Mantra is that whatever you think, you become. She advises people to set the bar rather high for themselves and always remain positive in life.
In her spare time, Shilu likes to read books and do physical exercises.
To the youth, her advice is to limit their screen time. She says that it’s an addiction to get hooked to electronic gadgets and it makes a person isolated which affects their mental health eventually.
