It shouldn't matter whether we succeed or fail; what matters is that we are trying our best.

Shilpa Mehta is a school coordinator at Neeraj Modi School.
Shilpa was born in Udaipur and later moved to Meerut after her marriage. Soon, along with her husband, she came back to Udaipur and settled here. She recalls her childhood memories during Navratri, where they would shop for nine different dresses for all nine days and go to Garba grounds. This is one of my fondest memories of her.
Shilpa shares that before coming to Udaipur, she used to teach business studies to 11th and 12th grade students. She joined the school in Udaipur as a school coordinator and also handles both management and academics.
Sharing about her struggles, Shilpa says that she was handling things when their school had no stationery, books, transportation, or other necessary things. Considering how things have changed over time, she is content and exclaims that she even enjoyed working with these challenges. Initially, when she started, she went door to door, spreading the message that education is important and picking up children on her own. She is proud to say that she adopted the digital platform in the COVID period, and she was always busy on phones and laptops handling daily work.
Shilpa considers her father her role model. She says that her father is the person who made her what she is today, and she takes lots of wisdom, knowledge, and inspiration from him. She is also inspired by Mr. Suditya, who brings positive energy with him.
Shilpa advises the younger generation to take this profession only if they love kids. Every kid has different requirements, and you need tricks to manage them without having to use a stick to discipline them. Also, a teacher needs to be a good leader too.
Shilpa says that she was born a leader and used to lead her gang in childhood. She says that one must be able to diverge as an autocratic or democratic leader, as per what the situation demands.
If given a chance to travel back in time, Shilpa would like to spend more time with her father.
Shilpa believes education and experience go hand in hand. One can get experience through education, and you can learn a lot through experience.
Shilpa’s life mantra is to live and let live.
