A professional anchor, Shikha, after fifteen years of marriage, has again given herself a new identity and has made a name for herself in the world of anchoring.

Shikha Jain is a professional anchor from Jaipur. She has been anchoring for the past four years. Earlier, she was a homemaker, but when she decided to establish herself as an anchor, she worked on her communication skills and her look.

Shikha worked hard on herself, every day she followed a strict routine of diet and exercise. She found herself comfortable doing wedding anchoring, so she developed her forte in it.

Sharing about her journey, Shikha says she hails from Kota but after her marriage she moved to Jaipur. After spending fifteen years as a homemaker, she decided to work.  She analyzed her skills and found her communication skills to be her biggest strength. She started working on her communication skills and learned about anchoring. She says she had never thought that she would come this far, she  just wanted to be independent only.

Speaking about her struggles, Shikha says once she decided to establish herself as an anchor, she worked on her weight. And in just a few months she became fit and slim. She participated in Mrs. Rajasthan-2021 and was among the top fifteen  viewers’ choice finalists. During this she also had started her journey as an anchor. She used to learn the nuances of the anchoring field.

When asked about her mistakes, Shikha says over time, she realized that we should be receptive rather than reactive to any stressful situation. She also thinks that when she was going through a difficult time, she got the opportunity to explore her potential and establish herself as an independent person.

When asked about her role models, Shikha says  she considers her mother as a role model. She says her mother was a courageous, calm, and composed religious lady. Shikha suggests to the new entrants of the field that they should keep working despite having less work. One must be consistent, hardworking and creative to achieve success in this field.

In her free time, Shikha enjoys dancing to Bollywood numbers. She even learned Kathak to reduce her weight. She also likes to listen to Kishore Kumar’s songs.
