There are no shortcuts to success, hard work is the only way to succeed in life.
There are no shortcuts to success, hard work is the only way to succeed in life.
Shekar was born and brought up in the rural area of Bhej near Deeg town in Bharatpur district. Shekhar completed his middle school and secondary education in Deeg, after which he moved to MSG College, Bharatpur to pursue his graduation. After his graduation, Shekhar joined the BSA college in Mathura where he completed his B.Ed.
Shekhar was appointed as a level two Social Science teacher when he first started. With his excellent teaching abilities, he kept climbing up in ranks as a teacher. Currently, he is working as a teacher in the Govt. Senior Secondary School, Surajpura, near Dholpur. Being a firm environmentalist, Shekhar planted numerous trees in his school’s premises and also motivated all his students to do so. He also urged the administration to build a new building and playground area in the school, even when he had to face a lot of challenges. Today, when he looks at all those trees maturing and students playing in the playground, he feels elated by the work he has done.
While frequently changing schools, when Shekhar was transferred to Rajkiya Madhyamik Vidyalaya in Gadhilajjan, he met with a batch of the best students and staff. The school was small but the minds were not. Students were inclined towards acquiring education and staff was hard working and cooperative. He has the best experiences of his life working at that school.
Shekhar says that during the pandemic, when the whole world was in a state of panic, he was asked to provide his services in the Covid-19 isolation ward. He was afraid at first, but he knew it was his duty, and accepted all his responsibilities. His children and his wife were worried about his health, but he took good care of himself, never stepping back and performing his duties very diligently. Shekhar also helped almost two to three hundred labourers to return to Surajpura with the help of the administration and he always tried to extend his help as far as possible. Shekar feels that due to this pandemic, students suffered a lot in their studies as the rural sector does not have much availability of technology, so the digital mode was also out of the question.
Shekar’s role models are his parents who have played a vital role in his upbringing and supported him throughout his life’s journey. He also looked up to his elder brother whenever he needed any help and support in life. He was also motivated by one of his teachers Mr. Manakram Choudhary whom he gives a lot of credit for his success. When he almost lost all hopes of studying further due to his financial situations, Mankaram encouraged him to keep moving forward and achieve his goals.
