She wasn't very interested in teaching jobs, but one of her teachers, Mrs. Asha, called her and offered her a teaching job when she was in her second year of college. After gaining that experience, she became interested in teaching as a profession.
Shehnaz says that she now finds pleasure in her job. She has an innate ability to understand kids very well psychologically. She was a very introverted person, but she gained confidence after working as a teacher.
During COVID 19, Shehnaz says that physical teaching was prohibited, so she couldn't enjoy the company of children in her class. However, she enjoyed spending more time with her family. She learned a lot of things during the pandemic, as she had to teach online and learn a lot about the required IT skills. She believes that patience and communication are essential for becoming a teacher in junior classes.
When free, Shehnaz likes singing and doing some art and crafts.
When asked about her role models, Shehnaz says that Asha ma’am is her role model, who instilled confidence in her and allowed her to change lives by choosing a career in education.
