Destiny always supports you is what Shefali Gupta’s journey from being a teacher to a boutique owner reassures us. Shefali always wanted to be in the field of fashion and she finally ended up being in one, overcoming all struggles of life.

Shefali Gupta is the owner of Kanak Creations in Gurugram.

Shefali says that from childhood she had an interest in fashion designing and wanted to take admission to NIFT after the 12th standard which she completed from Happy High School. However, due to some financial issues, she decided to do B.A. and then M.A.

Shefali then started teaching and for five years worked as a teacher. However, after COVID, she decided to change her field and came into this line. One of her friends had a boutique and was getting married. She asked Shefali to run the boutique and Shefali, after working for a few days, took over the same.

Talking about her role models, Shefali says that one of her cousins was a designer herself and inspired Shefali a lot. Also, her father is her inspiration as he worked hard to provide well for their children.

Talking about her struggles, Shefali says that initially, every business witnesses hard times. She feels that people will try to bring you down but one should focus on their work and not worry about others.

Shefali advises the youth to work where their talent lies and keep moving even after falling.

In her free time, she likes to chit-chat with her mother, make Instagram reels, listen to Shiv Bhajans and read novels.
