Having started out as a teacher, Sheetal entered the salon industry to fulfil her interest and to be able to devote time to her family.

Sheetal Soni is the owner of Crystal Creation & Beauty Parlour in Bhilwara.

Sheetal was born in Indore, MP and grew up in a town called Badi Sadri in the Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan. She currently resides in Bhilwara. She has done B.Sc, followed by MA in English Literature, and later did B.Ed as well.

Talking about her professional journey, Sheetal says that she was initially a teacher and had never imagined herself working in the salon industry. She had cleared the competitive exam for the post of a government teacher in the first attempt but didn’t join it as she thought she would not be able to juggle her family life with a faraway posting. She was working at a private school at that time but she eventually quit the job as her child was small and her workload wasn’t allowing her to manage her personal and professional lives. She then opened a boutique as she had interest in stitching and also started salon work part-time. She entered the salon business full-fledgedly five years back after quitting her job at the school.

Sharing her success mantra, Sheetal says that success is a journey and she envisions for her beauty parlour to be a renowned one in all of Bhilwara. She says that consistent work and positive feedback keep her motivated in her journey.

Sheetal considers her parents as her role models, who instilled a good value system into her. She is also grateful to her husband who had always been a huge supporter and motivator for her. She is thankful to some of her mentors as well namely, Suman - under whom she did her beauty parlour course, and Rajesh - who is a well-known professional in the city, later she kept taking training from several mentors.

Comparing both of her professions, Sheetal says that as a teacher, you need to be a role model to your students, while as a beautician, you will have to be very skillful. She further adds that both of these fields demand one to be confident and well-educated.

Advising budding beauticians, Sheetal says that you must take good education as it will help you progress faster. She continues to say that you must never cheat your clients and build good rapport with them. She finally says that you must keep working passionately without worrying about others.

When free, Sheetal spends time with herself. She believes that self-care is really important in one’s life. She also likes chilling with her friends, listening to songs, and doing Yoga. She says that she has an undying zest for learning and thus keeps learning new things everyday.
