Shanta has a penchant for teaching Mathematics and considers honesty towards work a prerequisite for a teacher.

Shanta Jain is a teacher at Alok School. She has completed her Bachelor in Science and Bachelor in Education and teaches Mathematics at the primary level. It has been a decade now that she is into this profession and loves to deal with children. Shanta is passionate about teaching and loves to take up mental maths questions and makes it interesting for the students.

Shanta believes that a student-teacher relationship should be healthy and a teacher should be a good listener to students’ problems and provide solutions accordingly. Since all students come from different backgrounds, a teacher should exercise patience and anger management, says Shanta. Discipline and punctuality are other qualities that Shanta feels a good teacher should possess.

Discussing COVID, Shanta says that owing to change in the medium of communication, things have been slightly difficult for the teachers and the students have also become less serious towards studies. She feels that the offline mode was much easier for both students and teachers.

Shanta’s role model is her father who has taught her to keep hustling and moving ahead in life. She is also inspired by her Principal’s English language skills and wishes to imbibe his qualities.

Discussing leadership, Shanta says that a teacher is born with leadership qualities and is able to deal with all kinds of students and understand their psychology.

In her free time, Shanta likes to indulge in reading, listening to old songs and watching motivational videos. She believes that one should take some time out to pursue his/her interest along with the work-life to experience better results and a calm mind.
