Always keeping hope in life, Shankar Lal, who was deeply affected by circumstances, is working hard and making a living.

Shankar Lal Meena is working as a cook at Vidya Bhavan Krishi Vigyan Kendra hostel in Udaipur. His responsibility is to cook food and provide meals to the hostel students on time.

Shankar Lal lives in Udaipur.

Recalling his memories, Shankar Lal says that once his camel bit a man who passed away. The villagers expelled him from his village and also ruined his home and fields. After this incident, he came to Udaipur and worked at different places for his living.

Talking about his struggle in life, Shankar Lal says that he joined Vidya Bhawan on a meager salary of 100 rupees. He has five children but he provided them with education somehow. Now, all his children have graduated and have done B.Ed. course also, proudly says Shankar Lal.

In his spare time, Shankar Lal guards his hostel.

During Covid, Shankar Lal went home and spent time with his family. He did different types of work to survive during the pandemic.
