Shalini Audichya believes in the power of positivity and hope in difficult situations and believes that both education and experience are essential. Shalini adopts different techniques to teach Sanskrit, including singing songs and reciting poems to develop students' interest in the subject.

Shalini Audichya was born in Udaipur but completed her studies in Chittorgarh. She teaches Hindi and Sanskrit at a school. Sanskrit has been her favorite subject since childhood. Being from a Brahmin family, even her father is good at Sanskrit and recites shlokas quite often. Also, her Sanskrit teacher from her school inspired her a lot and motivated her in this field.

Her father has been her inspiration. He is the one who gave direction to her thoughts and her life as well. He inspires her to make the correct decisions and to go on the right track. He has also helped her with her studies, and because of him, she got interested in Sanskrit.

Cherishing her childhood memories, she says that being the eldest among her siblings and cousins, she used to lead everyone all the time.

Talking about the pandemic period, Shalini says that it has brought drastic changes in all our lives. If we consider the positive side rather than the negative one, then the model of teaching and learning has become online. Her son became her teacher, taught her about technology, and helped her deliver smooth classes online. Earlier, she used to rely on books for all sorts of information, but this time she learned about Google, came across multiple methods of learning, and then was innovatively taught. She has enjoyed the entire process and learned a variety of things.

She believes that in every difficult situation that we face, even in the toughest of scenarios, there is positivity and hope. Similarly, this COVID time-shifted the mode of study to online, but the teaching-learning process didn’t stop.

As a teacher, she believes that one should have proper knowledge and command over their subject. Patience is a must before anything else; it is mandatory to handle students of all kinds in each and every situation.

“Sanskrit is a very interesting subject”, she says. There is a particular way or style to teach this subject. So she adopts different techniques to make students understand and then learn things properly. Sanskrit is a bit of an old-school subject, so she even sings songs or recites poems in order to make her students understand the subject well and also develop their interest in this field.

Her present students or pass-out students are so grateful for her teaching that they still remember the content she has delivered. This makes her really happy.

She believes that education and experience are both essential. If we don’t know where to apply our knowledge, then it’s of no worth. Education is important, but along with it, practical knowledge does wonders.

Every new person that we come across or a new situation that we face teaches us something. The director of her school, Dr. Pradeep Kumawat, inspires her with his words and thinking. There are times when she is a bit depressed and negativity surrounds her, but his words help her overcome them. Even his motivational talks shape her mentality and mindset.

Apart from her keen interest in her subject, she likes cooking, singing, and enjoying time with family. She is a fond listener of retro songs.
