Shakti Singh Jhala is the State Chairman-Social Media at the NSUI, a Congress student organization that raises student issues and grievances and fights for their rights. Since his childhood, Shakti has been dedicated to Congress initiatives and belongs to a family of Congressmen who believe in its ideologies.
Shakti worked as a District Spokesperson for three years. Seeing his performance he was later promoted as the State Coordinator by the NSUI. Thereafter with the aim of reaching the youth through social media platforms, Shakti was made the State Chairman, Social Media.
He studied in a government school till 3rd standard and then shifted to Prabhat Niketan School where he studied till 10th standard. Shakti shares that he grew up in a political environment witnessing leaders’ speeches and had a penchant for doing something good for society. Shakti shares that since he was good at studies, he wanted to become an engineer and took up Science in his 11th standard at Guru Govind Singh School. Thereafter, he completed his B.Tech from Aravali College.
Shakti also runs an NGO by the name ‘Abhiyanta’ helping orphan children and women in the tribal areas. He is also a Regional Marketing Manager in a company along with fulfilling his social initiatives.
Shakti feels that he possesses leadership traits in him since childhood from being a class monitor to fighting Gram Panchayat elections as he grew up. He has learnt a lot from his grandfather who worked for Congress contributing his bit to society, whom he considers as a role model.
Talking about COVID, Shakti shares that he, along with his members, distributed food and masks to people and ran free ambulances during the lockdown. He adds that he lost a few of his family members during Covid but that didn’t stop him from contributing with the same zeal to the public in general.
He urges the youth to contribute to society along with pursuing their profession and keep humanity alive in them.
