Founder of an NGO, Shailendra was initially inspired by his seniors' social initiatives and the struggles of those in need. He founded the foundation to provide support and opportunities for those facing adversity.

Shailendra Shrivastav is the founder of the Kshitiz Foundation in Jaipur.

He belongs to the small district of Dholpur, where he completed his school education. Then he moved to Jaipur for his graduation and joined Subodh College. He used to focus only on his studies, but when he started participating in extracurricular activities and discussing social issues with his seniors, he realized that there are a lot of people who are living in adversity and need support.

Shailendra was inspired by his seniors, who were also actively involved in various social initiatives. They shared their experiences and the impact they were able to create in the lives of those in need. This motivated Shailendra to take action and make a difference in his own community. He founded the Kshitiz Foundation with the aim of providing support and opportunities to those facing adversity, and he has been working tirelessly towards this goal ever since.

Shailendra is working for social reforms, child education, food distribution, and empowering marginalized communities. Shailendra believes that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and has been actively involved in setting up schools and providing scholarships to underprivileged children. Additionally, he organizes regular food drives and collaborates with local organizations to ensure that no one in his community goes hungry. Through his relentless efforts, Shailendra has been able to bring about positive change and improve the lives of countless individuals in need.

Remembering his childhood, Shailendra says he was very attached to his grandparents. His grandparents used to make him recite the ‘Chopaiyan’ during the ‘Sandhya Poojan’. Those ‘Chopaiyan were verses from the Ramayana, and they instilled in him a deep sense of spirituality and devotion. Shailendra believes that his strong connection to his grandparents and their teachings have played a significant role in shaping his compassionate nature and drive to help others.

Speaking about his struggles, Shailendra says if someone really knew and understood the true meaning of struggle, they would realize that underprivileged people face immense hardships and challenges on a daily basis. He emphasizes that it is important to empathize with their struggles and work towards creating a more equitable society. Shailendra believes that by providing education, healthcare, and opportunities for underprivileged individuals, we can uplift them and create a more inclusive world for everyone.

Shailendra has also worked for the rescue of the child laborers who work in the factories of bangle making, garment stitching, and carpet weaving. He firmly believes that every child deserves the right to a childhood filled with education and play, rather than being subjected to exploitative labor. These youngsters were not only rescued from their terrible situations because of Shailendra's efforts, but they were also given rehabilitation and educational help, giving them a shot at a better future.

When he feels a little low or depressed despite making genuine efforts, Shailendra calms his mind by spending time with his friends. He also seeks inspiration from his eight-five-year-old grandfather, who has faced numerous challenges in his life but has always remained resilient and optimistic, showing Shailendra that no matter the circumstances, there is always hope for a better tomorrow.

To the young generation, Shailendra advises them to feel interconnected with everyone around them and to never underestimate the power of support and positivity. He believes that by fostering strong relationships and surrounding oneself with uplifting individuals, one can overcome any obstacle and work towards a brighter future. Every Indian has to feel responsible for the upliftment of every fellow citizen, creating a society filled with hope and progress.

Shailendra believes that if one has the zeal and wish to bring change to society, he is a youth, irrespective of age or background. He believes that youth has the potential to drive significant social transformation and that age should not be a barrier to making a positive impact. Shailendra encourages individuals from all walks of life to come together and contribute towards building a better future for all.
