Shaifali aspired to become an Astronaut but turned out to be an Industrial Engineer due to some circumstances. At present, she has made an amazing career and is working in the United States at a reputed MNC.

Shaifali Jariwala is a Process Engineer at Duracell in the United States of America.

Shaifali belongs to Surat, Gujarat but currently lives in Georgia, United States. She graduated as a Mechanical Engineer. With great difficulty, she got a job at CEAT Tyres. She worked there for a few months and then moved to the U.S. From there, she did her Masters in Industrial Engineering. Soon, she got a job as a Process Engineer at Duracell.

Recalling her childhood, Shaifali says she had a fun-filled childhood. She remembers going for a morning walk with her father, swinging in parks, and talking to him about life. She says that she desired to become an Astronaut.

Talking about her role models, Shaifali says she considers her mother and her grandmother as her role models for being independent, multitaskers, and for balancing everything perfectly.

Describing her struggles, Shaifali says that choosing the field of mechanical engineering was quite challenging for her because it was a male-dominated field. Due to this, everyone except her parents was quite resistant to her decision. But she knew her destination, so she went ahead with her determination. Later on, she found it difficult to get a job because no one wanted to hire a woman for a job in the mechanical field. Besides, she found it difficult to leave her home for the first time in her life to move to the U.S., managing everything alone and taking care of herself in a foreign land.

Sharing her COVID experience, Shaifali says it was a terrible time for everyone. She was staying alone and was worried about her family. She used to watch movies, read books, talk to her family members, and meet people to avoid loneliness.

According to Shaifali, both education and experience are equally important to build a career. She believes that theoretical knowledge is very helpful in gaining practical experience faster and for advancing in a career.

In her spare time, Shaifali likes to go for walks, run, exercise, and talk to her family to keep her mental and physical sanity. She also likes to travel, swim, work out, go on hikes and play squash and racketball.

Shaifali advises all women to never give up on their dreams, no matter how difficult they may be. She advises them to stay strong, have patience, and learn more and more to progress in their career.
